A Rectangle quilt pattern tester parade
One of my favorite things about Aftershock is that it is a really simple design; this rectangle quilt pattern uses rectangles of varying sizes to create a really dynamic design.
Scroll through below to see all of the amazing versions that the Aftershock pattern testers created. Makers are all linked to their respective social media pages and websites. Be sure to check them all out and give them some love!

THE DOGEARED QUILT
Paige made the bed size version of Aftershock and totally nailed it! Her color palette is so fresh and modern. Paige can be found here on Instagram.
On a side note, how amazing is the background of this photo? Next time I visit Florida, I am going to need to bring some quilts to photograph!
Claire and her Crafts
Claire, @claireandhercrafts on Instagram, made the two color way version in the baby size for her pattern test. That blue is such a perfect color for a summer quilt!
Everything Claire creates is stunning; she inspires me to use more solids in my projects. She also knits, which is something I've always wanted to be able to master. (I have tried to teach myself a few separate times, all unsuccessfully.) I mean, trying to tell the difference between a knit row and purl row is just beyond me at this point.
SEW MILLIE MAE
Jessica, @sewmilliemae on Instagram, made the cutest baby quilt with such vibrant colors! That quilty texture is just so good!
Jessica also has an etsy shop, which can be found by clicking here. She might even be loading this one into her shop there!
Fabric Stork
Nuria is a quilting genius and I always do a happy dance when she tests for me. Her Aftershock is truly stunning with that dark plum background!
She has kitted a few kits to make this version in her shop here. Nuria is also on Instagram here.
Quiltyshug
Angie, or @quiltyshug as she is known on Instagram, combined some of my favorite prints to make this darling throw size Aftershock! Angie always makes the coolest quilts--I cannot wait to see how she decides to quilt this one up!
Angie has a separate Instagram account where she lists her finished quilts for sale here and an account where she de-stashes fabric and patterns that can be found here.
Bookends Quilting
Stephanie of Bookends quilting has been making the rounds on social media for good reason--her quilts are truly works of art. She was recently featured as Art Gallery Fabric's latest Maker Spotlight (check it out here!)
Steph's Aftershock is so awesomely retro with the color palette she chose. That dark brown background really makes the colors pop!
MIDLIFE QUILTER
Victoria, also known as Midlife Quilter, made this gorgeous Aftershock using fabrics from her online shop! She happens to also have kits available to make this exact version here!
Be sure to go check out her online shop; there are so many beautiful fabrics there and she curates the coolest bundles! Victoria is also a blogger and posts a lot of helpful tutorials and posts. See her blog here.
Stacy Kenny
Stacy, @stacykenny on Instagram, made this serene baby quilt. The colors she used are so vintage and peaceful. I just adore this one!
Stacy's Instagram page is full of beautiful inspiration! Make sure to check out all of her dreamy color palettes!
SEW CURATED
Lisa from Sew Curated made this stunning blues version of Aftershock (and she has kits available here!)
Dark backgrounds + Aftershock = true love. Lisa really knocked it out of the park with this one!
Sew Curated is also on Instagram here.
Yellow Tree Handcrafts
My friend Kenzie of Yellow Tree Handcrafts (see here on Instagram), made the coolest Aftershock that was inspired by a beautiful piece of art! Her version is breathtaking. Fun fact: I loved it so much that I actually included it as a color variation in the Aftershock PDF pattern!
Kenzie designs some GORGEOUS quilt patterns, which can be found here. I have personally made the Desert Cabin quilt and I have my eye on her Mod Rectangles quilt!
ERICA HUNTER
Erica is a dear friend of mine. She is a fellow adoptive mom and we connected a few years ago as my husband and I were going through the home study process. She is not only an amazing mom and friend, she is also an amazing quilter!
This baby sized Aftershock she made is so luxe with the peachy and rust tones. And that backing and binding are perfection! Make sure to go check out her beautifully curated Instagram page here.
Scribbly Gum Quilt Co
Joz of Scribbly Gum Quilt Co made this scrumptious version of Aftershock. The texture of this one is fantastic with its chambray background and flannel backing! She has kits available to make this exact version here.
I have to sit on my hands so that I don't buy one of every kit Jodie has in stock!
A RECTANGLE QUILT PATTERN WITH MANY POSSIBILITIES
As seen above, the Aftershock quilt pattern is one that is extremely versatile. Seeing all of the different versions is so cool! The Aftershock sew along begins Aug 2, 2021 (sign up by clicking here!) and I cannot wait to see what you all create during the sew along!
Happy quilting and see you next time!
