Aftershock includes instructions for both a 7FQ version as well as a two-color version. On the blog today, I wrote a quick tutorial on how to modify the pattern to make each row a different color. I chose 14 speckled fabrics for this version, and I love how it turned out! I used one of my all time favorite @rubystarsociety prints for the back and did a pop of rainbow binding. It’s a really fun one! (And a huge thank you to my bestie @autumnwaldman for snapping some photos in the parking lot while we waited for our sushi table to open up)

Several people commented or sent messages inquiring about these colors so that they could make their own Rainbow Falls. Good news: @cottoneer has restocked a bundle of FQ to make one in this color way! They are live on her site now!

For those who plan out Instagram posts ahead of time, which platform do you use? Pros? Cons? General thoughts? I think it’s about time for me to start planning these ahead. I often forget to post anything until I’m climbing into bed at night and then think “hmm...ok tomorrow I will post that.” That cycle gets repeated a few times until I finally remember to post during the day (today is that day, yay!)
