When sitting down to design my newest pattern, I knew I wanted it to be an easy fat quarter quilt pattern that was beginner friendly and was a fast finish. I also wanted it to be good for large-scale prints.
Aftershock meets all of the above requirements, thankfully! It is the fastest finish I have written to date and is so much fun to stitch together! It is a chain piecer's dream.

Aftershock: The One With Prints
To create this version, several of these fabrics were purchased from Fabric Bubb and then I added in some things from my stash. This color palette features some great colors and tones!
Haley of Mistletoe Quilting Co used a really cool pantograph, called diamond bit linear, and it is perfect for this quilt!
the one with the art gallery pure solids
Fun fact: this Aftershock was actually meant to be the cover version for the pattern. However, I just loved the way the above version looked on the cover. It really is a total toss-up, though--both of these turned out great!
The following Art Gallery PURE Solids make up this version (and Lamb and Loom has kits available to make this exact one!)
White Linen (background)
Evergreen
Swimming Pool
Pacific
Olive Oil
Gingerbread
Apple Cider
Sweet Fig
Again, Haley of Mistletoe Quilting Co worked her magic and used a really cool pantograph called Skateland Sunrise. I love it so much!
The Baby One
Last but certainly not least, here is the baby sized Aftershock. The baby size instructions make a generous 48" x 50" quilt, so really it could be considered crib size.
Aftershock includes instructions for both a multi-color version as well as a two-color version. The baby size is the two color version and uses the Art Gallery Fabrics PURE solid Apple Cider and a print from Art Gallery's Kismet collection.
Let's Sew Along Together!
There will be a sew along for Aftershock starting August 2, 2021. It will be hosted primarily on Instagram and will include weekly emails and blog posts. Each week there will be some great prizes up for grabs, too! CLICK HERE to sign up!

Love this quilt. Is it possible to make it king size?

Hi Joy!
You could definitely just expand the bed size to get a king size. Adding borders to the top and bottom and adding length to the background portion of each row would make it larger. Hope this helps!
