When I wrote this quilted mittens pattern several months ago, I knew I wanted some great testers to make sure my diagrams and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Cold Front is not a hard quilt to piece, but it was probably my most challenging to write.
In this blog post, you will get to see all of the gorgeous versions of Cold Front that my amazing pattern testers created. Cold Front would not be possible without them!
For even more information and photos on Cold Front, there is another blog post here that also includes links to shops kitting this pattern.
Marmalade Mood Quilts
Kasie of Marmalade Mood Quilts went all in and made the bed size version of Cold Front! She says she made this for her daughter--how awesome!
Kasie can be found at her Etsy shop, linked above, or here on Instagram. She makes the coolest things and puts together awesome fabric bundles!
Stacy Kenny
How incredible is this baby size version of Cold Front? (Answer: VERY incredible). Stacy chose the most gorgeous fall palette for her version.
Make sure to check Stacy out on Instagram; her creations are always stunning.
Piper Autumn Fabrics
Jennifer of Piper Autumn Fabrics chose the dreamiest Art Gallery PURE solids for her Cold Front top. What's even better--she has a kit available for this version! You can snag yours here.
Jennifer can also be found on Instagram here. She's the best!
Midlife Quilter
Victoria, also known as the Midlife Quilter, created this gorgeous Cold Front full of the sweetest prints. I can't get over how swoon-worthy these quilted mittens are.
Victoria happens to have a fabric shop as well, and she has kits available to make her exact version!
Aside from her fabric shop, Victoria can be found on Instagram here.
Quiltyshug
Angie, better known as Quiltyshug on Instagram, is a repeat pattern tester of mine and is a total gem of a human! I love her whimsical fabric choices, and this Cold Front is no exception. These quilted mittens are full of the cutest prints. I especially adore the green octopus print!
Angie's Cold Front was quilted by our friend Kaitlyn of Knot and Thread Design.
Lacey Poirier
Lacey is also a repeat pattern tester of mine. Not only did she make the sweetest baby sized Cold Front, she also is making a pillow project that involves chenille! I am really excited to see how that turns out. Make sure you are following along with Lacey here to see for yourself how her project turns out!
Blue Lilac Quilts
Ashely of Blue Lilac Quilts is a new pattern tester for me, and she also happens to be local to me! It has been so fun getting to know Ashley a bit better over the last couple of months--I can't wait for some brunch dates and quilt photography sessions to come!
Ashley makes the coolest quilts; make sure to follow along with her here!
Sew Millie Mae
Jessica, or Sew Millie Mae as she's known online, knocked it out of the park with this Cold Front quilt. These rich colors are so cozy!
Jessica has an Etsy shop where she sells her makes (she has so many holiday gifts in her shop right now!), and can also be found here on Instagram.
Meesh Quilts
Michelle of Meesh Quilts is a genius with her color combinations. I adore this pink background combined with Rifle Paper Co. holiday fabrics. It is so unexpected, yet AMAZING.
Meesh Quilts can be found at her shop here as well as on Instagram here.
Michelle, you're the bee's knees!
Wren Collective
Ok, so I know I am not a pattern tester, but....here is a sneak peek of my personal holiday version of Cold Front. I haven't quite finished it yet (still hand stitching down the binding), but I can't wait to get this finished and photographed for you.
My other versions of Cold Front can be seen here. I am toying with the idea of listing them for sale, but we will see!
